Before you climb at Indian Springs you should be able to
recognize the difference between an older style bolt verses a
newer style bolt. Some of the sport climbs
were bolted in 1990 and some older style bolts are still in
place.
There is great information out on the
American Safe Climbing Association's (ASCA) website about
identifying older style bad
bolts verses good bolts.

Warning & Disclaimer
Climbing is an inherently dangerous
sport which may result in serious injury or death. Climbing
safety relies on your climbing experience, training, climbing
ability and physical conditioning. Your safety also relies on
your own personal judgment and proper assessment of climbs
versus your climbing ability.
The information on this website is
nothing more than opinions and should not be considered fact. It
is your sole responsibility and judgment to determine if you
have the climbing skills and ability to climb any of the climbs
listed on this website.
Some of the climbs use fixed protection such as bolts and bolt anchors. All
fixed protection should be considered suspect. Fixed protection
may look new but may fail due to metal fatigue, quality,
improper placement and many other factors. It is your sole
responsibility to inspect and ultimately make the final decision to
use fixed protection. If you have any doubt in regards to fixed
protection then back it up with your own gear or don’t use it.
