When to Climb at Indian Springs
You can climb March
through November. Indian Springs is south facing so you are in
the sun most of the day. It is pretty hot in the summer months
so climb early in the morning and take a lot of water. The South Yuba
river is near by and its a great place to cool off after a day
of climbing. There is some nice swimming holes in between the
rapids.

Directions to
Indian Springs
Indian Springs is
located 40 minutes east of Auburn California. Take I-80 to the
Eagle Lakes Road exit 164 and turn left at the bottom of the
ramp. All of the slabs with be on your right-hand side as you
drive down Eagle Lakes Road.
Camping
The Indian Springs
campground is located on Eagle Lakes Road.
Local Services
There is a mini-mart
and gas station 1 mile east on I-80. A little farther east on
I-80 is Truckee. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Truckee and
there are many restaurants and services to choose from.

21. There is a climb between Indian Springs and RP 4 Me. There
are 3 bolts and you can use .75", 1.25" and 1.75" cams to add
pro between the bolts. Crux is at the top. This climb is rated
5.8.
